First off, it must be underlined that Yoshi-P, Soken and the ENTIRE developement crew are just made of win. No, seriously... they are all made of epic win.
It was an excellent new interview and discussion regarding several aspects of FFXIV: ARR... and you can tell how important this MMO is to Square Enix when even CEO Yoichi Wada sits in (again).
Also wanted to say a huge thanks to the wonderful people who sent me messages both in-game and via email urging me to stay awake for the Live event.
Huge credit goes to Ashiee Horokeu on the Aegis server for making a condensed version of the live event on Youtube and placing the link on the Lodestone. This enabled me to get most of the really spectacular screenshots you all see below.
First off, the first two seem to be the new stunning player housing in Limsa, which, from the interview, seemed to be an ocean resort of some kind that even has Wada keenly interested...
Then the ones for Gridania, possibly Ul'dah and some other place that wasn't exactly confirmed...
Then there was the image of this chap who strangely resembled the Garlean Emperor; and if one glances to the bottom right there are three more concept figures who seem to be younger looking.
Kinda deducing that since they are all on the same page, there HAS to be a correlation of some sort. Thus I'm wildly speculating that this may be important Garlean NPCs... the Imperial family perhaps?
Then there was this one which made me think it might be either another Garlean notable, or the leader of Ishgard... the Holy See or the Prince?
Next up, Chocobo's in spiffy new job-class specific gear...
Can't forget the one with Minifilia... guess she and the Sharlayan Circle of Knowing will really play a central part in one of the new storylines
Finally, one of the arcanist books...

Anyway, onto some fun bits and ends... here are a few pics of atomos getting owned by about a hundred players...
Ahhh yes, least I forget... the Voidstone (when its not crowded by 300 eager players bitting at the chomps hitting F12), looks like this...
By the way... Dalamud now looks eerily beautiful. Kinda tosses a perpetual sunset in the skies now, even during night time. Oh yeah... and Imperial legatus Baelsar is still patrolling...
And of course, the Grand Companies front desks are filled to capacity with players spending those seals... (Admiral Merlwyb will be hugging herself in ecstasy from the incredible revenue rolling in.) Even the "White Mage Cataclysmic Agency" made an appearance...
Soooo many players online, even with my solid wireless connection I actually lagged when standing in the Maelstrom Headquarters...

And that's him trying to make a run for it near Camp Bluefog... sly lil fox he is, pulling us into an ambush with his minions. He still got pwned though, no worries...
I keep wondering if in the next patch, the cystals will turn red... perhaps if we stare at the bloody thing long enough, it will (excuse the lay-lay pun)...

Yep, it's kicked off and the official website can be found HERE. Also switched up my blog's BGM yet again after organizing my vast music collection... came across a number of awesome songs that I hadn't listened to in a few years.
For some really weird reason, when I heard "Yeha Noha" again, , the voice of the wise old main in the song immediately made me think of Louisiox (same chap that seems to sacrifice himself for us in the new 2.0 trailer)... strange innit? (There are two versions I posted up btw).
Anyway, here is a quick snapshot of one of the collections that SE is putting up for sale for online purchase...
The FFXIV team also released a new seriously spiffy video relating to the "Limit Break" skill unleashed at Gamescon...
Yoshi-P also wrote us his latest letterwith some new insight into the direction that he and his team intend to take FFXIV: ARR prior to launch. There were also new concept images for Arcanist and Summoner
And least I forget, the concept art for Ramuh...
The official site as we all know got updated with a stunning new look sometime earlier but this is the first time i had time to really post up the several images regarding the Garlean Emperor Solus Zos Galvus, Baelsar and Darnus... (i still reckon that mupput isn't really dead)

Speaking of cities, under the section for Ul'Dah, found some concept images that were spiffy but didn't correlate to how Uldah looked today... could it be that the dev team are hinting that Uldah falls prior to 2.0?

Next bit of news is that the FFXIV: ARR Alpha Applications are now open... (good luck everyone). Speaking of new worlds, I was particularly interested in the presentation for "FFXIII- Lightning Returns" which is the third installment of the FFXIII saga. I was always a huge fan of the two previous games in the chapter and found myself looking forward to playing this next year. here's the presentation video...
